Harvest Time Rewards: "One of my favorite ways to use extra tomatoes that are starting to get squishy is to make homemade spaghetti sauce. Puree them in the blender along with a handful of fresh basil and oregano. (You can also use dried herbs.) Add a little sugar and red wine or grape juice. Sally's Contest Entry: "I like to use flattened out cardboard boxes around the plants and in between the rows of vegies. This keeps the weeds down and also provides a nice clean surface for the vegies when they are so heavy on the plant that they rest on the ground.
