Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in Canada:)

Involve your children in your Thanksgiving dinner preparations (or if you are not celebrating Thankgiving this month, have a fall feast). Have the kids collect large colorful autumn leaves before hand to be used under dinner plates. It will then be their reponsability to set the table"

CALENDULA SEEDS FOR YOUR FRIENDS:


• Allow Calendula blooms to dry on the plant, then crumble the flower base and remove seeds.
  
  
• Allow the seeds to dry and put some away for yourself to grow next year... then handcraft a small decorative envelope to place your seeds in.
  
  
• Attatch this seed package to a greeting card for a friend with scotch tape.

COLLECTING LEAVES:


• Collect different shaped leaves and trace around them.
  
  
• Place leaves under a sheet of paper and lightly color over top.
  
  
• Place some washable paint in a small saucer & dip your leaves into the paint to make leaf prints.
  
  
• Press leaves by placing them in the center of heavy hard cover books and storing them for a week or so.
  
  
• Place one medium sized leaf along with a few seeds on a small piece of transparent mac tac; then fold it over and cut out in a circular shape around the leaf to make coasters. (Nice gift ideas for Aunts & Grandmas)
