Delphinium - Gardener's Paradise

There are thousands of different species of perennial, biennial and annual salvias. Salvias are a member of the mint family. Most are fast growing, hardy, trouble free. Delphiniums

Delphiniums like rich, well drained soil and full sun.

Try not to disturb these stately spikes once they are established. They don't transplant well.

Delphiniums are quite hardy and don't require mulching over winter.

Larkspur are often confused with delphinium but are actually different plant species.

All parts of larkspur and delphinium are poisionous. Be cautious with children and pets.
